In a two party system of politics, RUNNER UP MEANS LOSER. We Republicans have lost too many local elections by less than a few hundred votes. Often, less than that!
Albuquerque is not NY, Chicago, or LA. A few hundred votes here means the difference between winning and losing some very important city elections. In non-presidential elections voter turnout is generally low, making winning much easier.
This year, on Oct 3rd we are asked to vote for a horrid city ordinance–the ABQ Healthy Workforce Ordinance. If it passes, it will mean the strangulation of private business in Albuquerque. It will mean control of city economics by politicians and unions, and a further downturn in our prosperity. As it is, NM is 47th nationwide economically.
PLEASE VOTE! And get your friends and neighbors to vote, too. Let us not lose this by default.
